Original appearance of the community center will be brought back. Twenty-year-old tile will be removed from the facade.
The renovation plan for DK Zheleznodorozhnikov (Railway workers' community center) in Yudino was presented to the Mayor of Kazan, Ilsur Metshin. One of the iconic sites of the township is planned to be brought back to its original look with all its premises to meet quality standards of modern social infrastructure.
Railway Workers’ community center is one of the symbols of Yudino. It is recognized as the cultural heritage site. Residents are looking forward to renovation very much. The last remodeling was completed here in 1996. Last year, the President of the Republic of Tatarstan, Rustam Minnikhanov, ordered the center with a rich history to be included in the program of comprehensive renovation of cultural facilities located in Kazan.
The original look will be recreated, the facade will be finished with decorative plaster and illuminated in the evening, c-side of the building will be decorated as well - it is planned to style it as the facade but with transformed line of capitals and friezes, installation will be put up.
During the inspection mayor paid close attention to the work on the Yudino’s Railway Trade Museum project. “When we visited the community center together with Rustam Minnikhanov we had a wish - to make the museum just like everything else, modern but without pushing it into art deco and high-tech though, so it could tell a warm and respectful story of township's history. DK Zheleznodorozhnikov is familiar with workman's dynasties and hundred-year-old traditions. All of it was preserved with care in the museum. Please, try to keep this atmosphere” Ilsur Metshin said when addressing the contractor and designer.
Overall, during renovation all premises are planned to be brought to the quality standards of modern social infrastructure.
