I.Metshin: “This year will be recorded in history of road infrastructure as the start of the construction of the Voznesensky Tract”

In Kazan, 6.5 billion rubles will be allocated for the construction and design of roads.

This year, 6.5 billion rubles will be allocated for the construction and design of highways in Kazan, allowing the implementation of major projects, such as the construction of the Voznesensky Tract. Today, the Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin instructed the city authorities to mobilize during the May holidays and start work in full force.

Most of the work at the Voznesensky Tract is carried out underground

This year, the construction of the first section of the Voznesensky Tract with a length of 3.8 km will start - from the Ametyevskaya Highway to Pobedy Avenue. Preparatory excavation works and reconstruction of utilities for the construction of the highway have already begun.

According to the new General Plan, the total length of the six-lane highway will be about 10 km. This will be another departing highway, which is crucial for the city, said Igor Kulyazhev, deputy head of the Kazan Executive Committee. In the future, it will relieve the Mamadyshsky Tract, partially-the Orenburgsky Tract, and solve the problems of residents of some Kazan villages.

“The year 2021 will be recorded in history of road infrastructure as the start of the construction of the Voznesensky Tract. This is a departing highway, a collector road of the Mamadyshsky Tract, - the Mayor said. - Twelve billion rubles will be allocated for construction of the four-kilometer section from the Ametyevskaya Highway to Pobedy Avenue”.

Moreover, for the road pavement, 3 billion rubles will be allocated from this amount, the remaining funds will be used primarily for the rerouting of utility networks. “A fair question is where this price comes from. Any road, any departing highway, like Pobedy Avenue and R.Sorge Street comprises networks. These are underground utilities that are not visible to the human eye: water supply, sewerage, heat pipes, underground electrical networks lie in the alignment of roads”.

Other major infrastructure projects include the construction of a section of the Great Kazan Ring road. This year, work will begin at a new section: Tikhoretskaya Street from Tekhnicheskaya str. to Magistralnaya str. will be expanded from two lanes to four.

To improve the traffic situation at the exit from the Salavat Kupere residential complex, a project has been developed to expand Osinovskaya Street.

In the Privolzhsky district, excavation works and reconstruction of utilities for the turn loop along the Orenburgsky Tract are being carried out. This will improve the traffic when leaving the residential districts Lesnoy Gorodok, M-14 and Palitra.

The collector road of Gorkovsky highway will become the road of life for motorists

In the Kirovsky district, the construction of a 4-lane highway from Nesmelova str. to the Serebryany Bor residential complex is underway – the collector road of the Gorkovsky highway. The first stage of the construction of this highway with a length of 1.5 km on the site from Nesmelova str. to Admiralteiskiy pond completed last year.

“At this site, we will have to solve a difficult issue with the purchase of 313 real estate venues. Currently, the venues are being evaluated and agreements are being signed with the owners”, - I.Kulyazhev reported.

In turn, the Mayor of Kazan called this highway “the road of life”, since the entry to the city and exit from it along the Gorkovsky highway have always been difficult, and today there is active construction.
