The movie is based on the novel of the same name by Guzel Yakhina, a writer, a native of Kazan. Last Monday, the last Kazan scenes were shot near the Kremlin walls. And by the end of February, it is also planned to finish work in the Laishevsky district and in Perm, said Ilya Papernov, the executive producer of the film company “Russkoe”.
G. Yakhina said that she was on the set only once, in September last year in Laishevo, where scenes in the village Semruk were shot. “I know that they wanted to show me a preliminary montage so that I would express my opinion, and I will do it with joy. However, those photos that I see in social networks a lot are great. At least, the movie is going to be very decent!” said the writer.
During the shooting, an idea appeared to make a pre-movie in Kazan, the details are still being discussed. “So far we are discussing that the premiere can take place within the framework of Aksenov-fest, which is held in September. In any case, I plan to come to the festival, it is very important and significant for me. I hope that the first couple of the series will be shown there”, said G. Yakhina.
The writer takes an active part in the literary music festival Aksenov-fest. Thus, last year Kazan students and high school students wrote a dictation on the text “Wooden Kazan”.
