The city stage of the Golden Puck tournament brought together over 1,900 young hockey players

Ninety-six teams are competing for the victory, the winners of the Sport division will represent Kazan at the republican tournament.

The city stage of the Golden Puck tournament brought together over 1,900 young hockey players from 96 teams. The games started on January 8.

The city tournament is held in Sport and Street Sport divisions. Hockey players in four age groups are competing for gold medals. The winners of the Sport division will represent Kazan at the republican tournament.

According to the Committee of Physical Culture and Sports, the winners were determined in the junior and junior groups – Zilant team, in the senior and middle groups – Ak Bure team.

The Golden Puck is an All-Russian ice hockey tournament among youth teams, which has been held since 1964. The founder of the tournament and the chairman of the Golden Puck club was the famous coach Anatoly Tarasov.

For reference, the Ak Bure hockey team for the first time became the silver medalist of the Golden Puck tournament in 2022. Ilsur Metshin, the Mayor of Kazan, congratulated the young hockey players and handed the athletes letters of thanks.
