The head of the administration of Astrakhan: “Kazan’s experience in the field of transport is interesting not just for us, but for whole Russia”

A delegation of the Astrakhan region is in the capital of the RT on a working visit.

(KZN.RU, January 17, Alena Miroshnichenko). Kazan’s experience in the development of public transport is planned to be adopted in the Astrakhan region. Radik Kharisov, the head of the administration of Astrakhan, is in Kazan on a working visit. He reported that small buses carry most of the traffic in the region, there are complaints fr om citizens. Therefore, the practice of the capital of the RT in solving transport problems will be interesting and useful for Astrakhan. “We will adopt this experience and further develop it”, he said after a meeting with Denis Kalinkin, the head of the Kazan Executive Committee, in the City Hall.

A delegation from Astrakhan arrived on a working visit to the RT to study regional and metropolitan practices in the areas of transport, education, landscaping, and business and discuss inter-municipal cooperation. The guests got acquainted with the work of the municipal parking lots, the organization of the city’s transport system. They visited the PATP-2, the MKU “Organizer of passenger traffic in the capitals of the RT”, and the MKU “Automated Traffic Control System”.

“Tatarstan, the experience of Kazan and the positive that has been gained in recent years, are very interesting not only for us, but for all the territories of the Russian Federation. Especially for us because we are a region with intensive development”, R. Kharisov explained the interest in learning the Kazan experience.

The head of the administration of Astrakhan mentioned the use of large-sized and capacious buses, control services, the presence of electronic boards on the vehicle itself and bus stops among interesting practices.

“A clear interaction of all structures within the transport infrastructure is an interesting practice. I did not see and small-capacity buses on the streets. It shows the correct approach and the correct implementation of the projects that were announced earlier. The most important thing is a positive for citizens. People of Kazan see information about the movement of vehicles, the intervals between them and, do not wait on the street, but precisely calculate the route of their movement. Unfortunately, most of the traffic is carried out by small-capacity buses in our region, there are complaints from citizens. We will adopt the experience and further develop it”, marked the head of the administration of Astrakhan.

The delegation will stay in the capital of the RT until Friday. The guests are also scheduled to visit educational institutions in Kazan, wh ere they intend to study the work of Tatarstan colleagues.
