Cancellation of the post stamp and a solemn evening will be held in Kazan on the birthday of Maksim Gor'kiy

The festive program for the 150th anniversary of the writer’s birthday will consist of laying flowers, excursions to the museum, showing films and other events.

(KZN.RU, March 26). On March 28, there will be festive events in Kazan, connected with 150th anniversary of Maksim Gor'kiy (real name Aleksey Maksimovich Peshkov).

Thus, the solemn laying of flowers to the monument of the writer, established in 1950 at the crossroad of Gorky and Kurashova streets in Kazan, will take place. Further in the museums of Gor'kiy and Shalyapin the festive program starts. During the day, excursions around the museum exposition and showing films about Gor'kiy himself and films, based on his literature works, will be conducted.

Then, on the central porch of the museum, there will be a literary program "Burevestnik. Reboot". On the same day, there will be a solemn ceremony of cancellation a post stamp in honor of the 150th anniversary of the writer’s birthday. A block of stamps will be issued specially for the holiday. Tatarstan will receive 300 blocks of stamps with the image of an outstanding writer. A transferable stamp of special cancellation will be created for the issue of post stamps for Kazan.

In the evening, there will be a gala evening in the museum - "Gor'kiy among us" with the participation of honorable guests and masters of arts from Tatarstan.
