A photo exhibition about Kazan was presented at the Canton Import and Export Fair, which was held from August 25 to 28 in Guangzhou. The exposition was dedicated to the six-party signing of an agreement between Kazan, Ufa, Yekaterinburg, Khabarovsk and the Chinese cities of Guangzhou and Qiqihar.

Cooperation between Kazan and Guangzhou is aimed at promoting innovation, improving the international status of municipalities and living standards. The agreement also provides for the exchange of experience in culture, education, sports, science, healthcare, tourism, industry and trade, the Department of International and Inter-Municipal Relations of the Executive Committee of Kazan reported.

Tenth anniversary of the signing of the agreement on the establishment of twinned relations between Kazan and Guangzhou was marked in 2022. During this time, strong ties have been established in various areas, mutual visits have taken place.
