Over 160 events have been prepared for citizens and tourists of Kazan at 26 public spaces
On the eve of the holidays, the New Year's program starts in parks and squares of Kazan. 161 festive events are planned at 26 public spaces of the capital of the republic of Tatarstan. Aigul Latypova, the head of the Directorate of Parks and Squares, reported about the New Year's program at the Business Monday meeting.
Presently, 23 public spaces have already been decorated with festive décor.
“A diverse program has been prepared for any age. I invite Kazan residents and tourists to the parks. Although today they don't need special invitation. People enjoy spending time there. The infrastructure for recreation, the event program, we have everything. We need to provide a high–quality service and prompt informing of citizens,” said the head of the Executive Committee Rustem Gafarov.
According to Aigul Latypova, New Year’s sites will open in 15 large city parks on December 19. Father Frost and Snow Maiden will light the lights on the New Year’s trees, after which Kazan residents will be shown theatrical performances.
Festive events are planned throughout the holidays.
On December 23, an event will take place on the Kazanka Embankment to collect plastic caps that will be recycled. And a photo booth will be installed in the Black Lake Park. Guests of the public space will be able to take New Year's photos in the photo booth for used PET bottles.
On December 25 and January 7, the a cappella group Atmosfera will perform popular New Year's songs in the Lyadskoy Garden and the Rybak Garden.
On December 26, the opening of the New Year’s site will take place in Kaleidoscope Park, accompanied by a sign language interpreter. And on January 6 and 7, excursions will be held in the building of the Kazan Family Center for people with hearing, vision and autism spectrum disorders.
For the first time, a dance master class “Dance Floor” will take place in Rybak's Garden on December 29. Open Nordic walking training sessions with instructors will also be held in several parks.
And already on January 1, the Blue Light concert will take place in Krylia Sovetov Park. The evening program includes a disco and an interactive show.
For the first time, the Citizen-Scientist project, which is being implemented as part of the Kazanka Development Strategy, will be held in a winter format. The program includes ski (January 3) and ornithological (January 14) excursions, a master class on winter fishing (January 7), winter forest therapy (January 21). It is also planned to organize a winter clean-up on the territory of Russian-German Switzerland with collection of recyclables.
“On January 4, the atmosphere of the ski resort will be created at the Kazan Family Center at the first winter party in water resistant pants,”- Aigul Latypova said.
A stand-up evening in the Tatar language will take place on January 6 in Gorkinsko-Ometyevsky forest. And on January 7, competitions on radio-controlled cars will be held in the park for racing fans. The tournament will unfold on a specially built snow track.
