The SoTvorenie Festival in Kazan was attended by about 57 thousand people

More than 30 thousand people watched the live broadcast

The SoTvorenie international music festival was visited by almost 57 thousand people, while more than 30 thousand watched the live broadcast. This was announced at the Business Monday meeting by the head of the Culture Department of Kazan Azat Abzalov.

“The event was epic. It is not coincidence that the Mayor of the city Ilsur Metshin said that we will strive to make it annual. It is noteworthy that several other major events took place in along with SoTvorenie: the NUR Media Art Festival, the LitLeto literary festival, and the Muslim film Festival. The life of the capital was vibrant at the weekend”, - said Rustem Gafarov, head of the Executive Committee of Kazan.

The festival was attended by representatives of eight countries: Russia, India, Armenia, China, South Africa, Mali, Brazil, Turkey. The music from the two scenes was played non-stop for 16 hours. 26 groups of 150 musicians performed at SoTvorenie, many of whom were in Kazan for the first time.

“The festival also had an important educational element, many artists learned about Tatar culture for the first time, communicated with each other and established an important cultural dialogue,”- Azat Abzalov shared.

For two days in a row, the SoTvorenie festival was opened by the Kazan school of rock “The Road”. According to Azat Abzalov, performing at such a venue will serve as an important help for future creative successes. After the end of the festival, solo guitarist Yuri Kasparyan from the legendary KINO band came to the guys.

On the first day of SoTvorenie, the viewers could get acquainted with the history of Ancient India through the creativity of the Rehmat-e-Nusrat group, experience the difficult life story of the South African singer Nomfusi, hear Tatar rock from Artur Islamov. On the second day, the Russian band “Huun-Huur-Tu” took the stage, the Brazilian João Selva shared an energetic vibe, and the young audience of the festival sang along with the group from Penza “No Cosmonauts” and Antokha MC.

“We tried to introduce Kazan residents and tourists to the cultures of different peoples, countries and continents. I hope that the festival will get its development, and next year it will be no less colorful!”- Azat Abzalov concluded.
