Performances in the framework of the festival of brass bands will be held in the parks and squares of the city.
(KZN.RU, August 8, Ksenia Shvetsova). From 16 to 19 of August, Kazan will host the VII festival of brass bands “Fanfares of Kazan”. Within four days, 19 teams from 14 cities and more than 600 musicians will present their work. This year the festival will significantly expand its borders and will take place in the Kremlin, the parks and squares of the city, and the musicians march twice in Bauman Street.
The festival takes place in the capital of Tatarstan for the seventh time. First, it went outside the Kazan Kremlin last year, then the orchestras also played on Bauman Street. This year a march of musicians will be held twice on this street. “We want the citizens and tourists who come to Kazan could see and feel the living atmosphere of this magnificent holiday”, said Daria Sannikova at the press-conference in IA “Tatar-inform”.
On August 16 from 4 pm to 7 pm, you can listen to musicians on the square near the Kamal Theater; from 5 pm to 8 pm, the orchestras will play in the Uritsky Park.
On August 17 from 2 pm to 4 pm, the marching of the orchestras will take place; from 3 pm to 4 pm, children's band will perform on the 1 of May Square; from 4 pm to 5.30 pm, the passage of musicians through the Kazan Kremlin is planned. The opening ceremony of the festival will be held on the site in front of the Kul-Sharif Mosque from 5.30 pm to 6.30 pm; from 6.30 pm to 9.30 pm, a parade-concert will take place on the same site.
On August 18 from 9 am to 10 am, another passage of collectives on the Kazan Kremlin is scheduled, and from 10 am to 10.30 am, the performance of the composite orchestra will be held. From 11 am to 8 pm, solo programs of the festival participants are planned.
On the same day, the musicians will perform in the Uritsky Parks and the “Chernoe Ozero” from 1 pm to 7 pm.
On August 19, the festival will be closed. In honor of this, from 9 am to 11 am, the musicians again will march through Bauman Street; from 10 am to 11 am, children's bands will perform on the 1 May Square; from 11 am to 12 pm, the marching through the Kazan Kremlin is scheduled. There will also be a closing ceremony of the festival from 12 pm to 1 pm.
On the same day, the orchestras will perform in the Krylia Sovetov Park and on the Kremlin embankment from 3 pm to 6 pm.
Zilya Valeeva, the director of the State Historical, Architectural, and Art Reserve-Museum “Kazan Kremlin”, noted that the most expected participant of the festival will be the famous naval band of the Pacific Fleet from Vladivostok, who will arrive in Kazan.
The traffic will be limited to several streets of Kazan during the festival from 16 to 19 of August.
