Evgenia Lodvigova has met the ambassador of the Republic of Uganda in Russia

The sides have expressed readiness to cooperate in education, culture and tourism.

(KZN.RU, on March 21, Ekaterina Vislavskaya). The first deputy head of the municipality of Kazan Evgeniya Lodvigova has invited representatives of Uganda to participate in the investment forum KazanSummit-2018. The possible directions of cooperation between Russia, including Tatarstan and Kazan, and the African republic were discussed at today’s meeting in the City hall of Kazan with extraordinary and plenipotentiary ambassador of the Republic of Uganda in the Russian Federation, Mr. Johnson Agar Olva.

The delegation, consisting of the ambassador, the first secretary of Embassy of the Republic of Uganda in the Russian Federation Suzan Okodi and the attache of the embassy of the Republic of Uganda in the Russian Federation on financial questions Henri Sanyyu, arrived in Kazan on March 20. Guests plan to exchange experience with the Tatarstan experts in such spheres as attraction of investments, trade, culture and tourism, and, also, to explore opportunities of cooperation between Tatarstan and Uganda. Today, on March 21, they have visited the Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Agency of investment development of The Republic of Tatarstan and the technopark in the sphere of high technologies «IT-park». Untill March 23 the trip to the city of Innopolis, visit of the Kazan (Volga region) Federal University and negotiations at the Ministry of Industry and Trade of RT are also planned.

It should be noted that between Tatarstan and Uganda the bilateral foreign trade turnover is adjusted. Thus, in the year 2017 export operations were actively carried out. According to the Tatarstan customs, rubber and products from it became the main objects of a trade. Tatarstan also delivered vehicles, the equipment, mechanical devices and their accessories.
