Residents and guests of the city will see performances of winners of the Olympic Games, Championships and World Cups.
(KZN.RU, April 29). Kazan will take part in the FINA World Series in diving for the fifth time. Residents and guests of the city will see the best jumpers in the water at the Palace of Water Sports from 10 to 12 of May.
This year, 82 athletes from 15 countries of the world will gather in Kazan. The winners of the Olympic Games, Championships and World Cups are among them. As part of the world series, they will demonstrate individual and synchronized jumps from a 3-meter springboard and a 10-meter tower for men and women, as well as synchronous mixed jumps from a 3-meter springboard and a 10-meter tower.
The previous stages of the World Series 2019 were held in Sagamihara (Japan), Beijing (China), and Montreal (Canada). After Kazan, the competition will go to London (UK) from 17 to 19 of May.
For the first time, the best jumpers arrived in Kazan in 2015 for the World FINA Championships. Since then, one of the stages of the world series is held in Kazan annually.
The World Series in diving is a unique tournament under the auspices of FINA, which is a synthesis of competitions and demonstration performances. It was founded by the national federations of the three countries: Great Britain, China, and Mexico. Later they were joined by Canada, Qatar, Russia and the United Arab Emirates, according to the Directorate of Sports and Social Projects.
