The mayor of the capital Ilsur Metshin inspected the renovated house and was curious on the comments of its residents.
The mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin inspected the overhaul of the house № 112 on Dekabristov street, which was fully adapted for visually impaired residents. At the renovated house the outdated utilities were replaced, as well as the corduroy tactile paving, handrails with floor numbering and “smart” intercoms were installed. In 2020, the yard will be landscaped and recreated according to preserved old photos.
The overhaul works started in June 2019, and were completed in September. According to the Director of the contractor OOO “RSK Aviator+” Alexey Ivanov, the face and entrance space of the building were updated, the systems of water supply, sanitation and heat supply have been renovated.
The tactile paving was used to mark the entrance, as well as the indoor stairs. In all lobbies were installed the handrails with floor numbering. Anti-spam letter-boxes, at the request of the residents were also relief identified.
The renovation of the yard area of houses №112 and 114 on Dekabristov street is planned for 2020. After the works on replacement of an asphalt covering, the yard will be connected by foot walks with the square on Dekabristov str. and Volgogradskaya str.
“We aimed at preserving and recreating the fortress, which was located in this yard before, – said the head of administration of the Kirovsky and Moscovsky districts Sergei Mironov – One of the tenants found an old photo of the yard. Today we have already restored one part, and in the future, we will make wooden frame”.
The mayor also inspected the house № 4 on Chkalov str. where the overhaul was carried out this year. In a four-storey building built in 1959, the heating, cold water supply, sewerage and electricity systems were repaired, temperature control units were installed. The face of the house was decorated in aviation style, and the main decoration of the building was a graffiti depicting the Soviet pilot, Hero of the USSR Valery Chkalov.
Also, I. Metshin inspected the yard of the houses on Chkalov str., 2 and 4 and on Krasnokokshayskaya str., 158. The yard area was landscaped, new rubber coating, a playground and benches were installed, as well as the new trash enclosers.
