The tourist police will be established in Kazan until May 5

2018 World Cup. The officers of the patrol police service will ensure the safety of the 2018 World Cup’s guests.

(KZN.RU, April 2). The tourist police will be established in Kazan until May 5 on the basis of the combat units of the patrol and inspection service. The order was signed by the Minister of the Interior of Russia Vladimir Kolokoltsev.

Similar units will appear in St. Petersburg and Sochi, and in other cities where the games of the 2018 FIFA World Cup will be held, there will be specialized groups of foreign-speaking police officers. In the period from May 25 to July 25 patrol will supervise the places of mass staying of the fans, helping them in solving emerging situations and, if necessary, accepting allegations of violations from them. Representatives of the tourist police can be distinguished on a special armband over the uniform.
