The bottom and the beach of Izumrudnoe Lake in Kazan will be cleared of garbage

The environmental action will be held on July 5.

(KZN.RU, July 3). On July 5, an environmental action on cleaning the coastal zone and the bottom of the reservoir will take place on Izumrudnoe Lake in the Kirovsky district of Kazan.

About 100 people will take part in the action: activists of the ecological movement “Budet Chisto”, representatives of various organizations, as well as scuba divers of the A. Leonov Searching Squad. Divers will plunge into the lake to clear its bottom.

All garbage collected by participants will be sorted and taken out from the beach.

The environmental action will begin at 10 am. Everyone can join it. The organizers will provide the participants with all the necessary equipment for cleaning and hot tea, reports the press service of the regional branch of the Russian Geographical Society in the RT.

The Izumrudnoe Lake will be the third reservoir cleared of debris this year. During past actions, activists collected about 50 cubic meters of garbage, most of which is plastic bottles, disposable dishes, and plastic packaging.
