9 thousand people visited the Doors Open Day in children and youth sports schools of Kazan

More than 3 thousand children have registered in the section on 40 kinds of sports.

Children's and youth sports schools in Kazan will continue to be given great attention, as they instill the love for sports and healthy lifestyle in children. Ilsur Metshin, the Mayor of Kazan, said this at the Business Monday. The Doors Open Day are continuing in the Youth Sports School of the city.

Meetings are held from August 28 to September 21, the schedule is published on the portal KZN.RU and the page of the Committee for Physical Culture and Sports in Instagram. Kazan citizens can receive full information about sports facilities and schools from the first hand, take part in excursions, master classes, watch performances of young athletes.

27 institutions have already held such events for today. More than 9 thousand people visited them. At the same time, more than 3 thousand children enrolled in sports schools. The recording is conducted in branches of 40 sports, but the leaders remain the same. “Analyzing the number of people who want to enroll in sports schools, we can confidently say that the most popular are swimming, rhythmic gymnastics, football, and ice hockey”, said Svetlana Vostrikova, the chairperson of the Committee for Physical Culture and Sports.

“The sports infrastructure allows us to grow many new champions. Thousands of our children are involved in children's and youth sports schools. Not each of them will go in professional sports, but the love for sports, a healthy lifestyle will remain with them forever. Therefore, this is very important, and we will continue to pay great attention to this”, said the Mayor of Kazan.
