The Prime Minister of the RF studied the Diary of Good Deeds and promised to fill it.
(KZN.RU, June 8). The positive experience of the Kazan City Hall on the development of charity is presented at the All-Russian conference “The State and Charity: Together for a Common Goal”. It is being held today in Moscow with the participation of Dmitry Medvedev, the Prime Minister of RF, and his deputy Tatiana Golikova.
Damir Fattakhov, the first deputy head of the Kazan Executive Committee, representing the capital of Tatarstan at the conference, spoke as one of the main speakers of the thematic section devoted to the development of the charity culture. The experts highlighted the experience of the project “Good Kazan” as a platform for an open dialogue between the authorities, non-profit organizations, business, and the media. In addition, projects the Diary of Good Deeds, traditional school charity fairs, have been recognized as successful cases implemented in Kazan in the field of charity development as instruments of motivation for good deeds since childhood. The All-Russian Cultural and Charity Festival “Good Wave”, implemented by the Kazan City Hall and the Academy of Popular Music of Igor Krutoy, is noted as a significant venue for the formation of tolerance among children and mutual respect for each other, regardless of differences in physical and social opportunities.
Damir Fattakhov also told that the project “Good Kazan” acts as a resource center for working with non-profit associations. Thanks to the support of the “Good Kazan”, Kazan charity fund projects received more than 116 million rubles in 2018 as a result of the contest of the Presidential Grants Fund.
“The Kazan’s experience is notable for the principle that the City Hall has put into cooperation with charitable funds and NGOs: “Not instead of, but together”. “When the government supports public initiatives that have proved their effectiveness, its resources can give a multiplier effect. Kazan has proved it by the example of a charitable warehouse or “Good Food”, which feeds the needy. At the same time, it is important that charity is viewed as part of everyday culture. This is a step that allows solving much more strategic tasks”, said Elena Topoleva-Soldunova, the co-organizer and director of the Agency for Social Information.
Elena Topoleva-Soldunova presented the experience of Kazan as a successful case for the development of charity, emphasizing the importance of the project “Diary of Good Deeds” at the plenary session of the conference. It was held with the participation of Dmitry Medvedev, the Prime Minister of the RF. She said that proposals about the scaling up of this project have already been sent to the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Enlightenment.
