Citizens are asked not to burn the garbage, but to leave it in containers for subsequent removal.
(KZN.RU, April 29, Ksenia Shvetsova). The work on cleaning the city cemeteries started in Kazan. Dozens of thousands of citizens visit the graves of loved ones to honor their memory and clean up the burial sites. The city prepared cleaning equipment and purchased about 40 thousand bags for garbage, which will be distributed to visitors of 10 main cemeteries of the city. Marat Ishkin, the head of the department of the organization of funeral services, announced this today at the Business Monday.
The largest number of citizens visit cemeteries in the spring after the snow melts, so that about two percent of the garbage is collected and removed during the two spring months. If during a month about 2 thousand cubic meters of municipal solid waste were removed from urban cemeteries on average, in May 2017, this figure was 4956 cubic meters, and in May 2018, it exceeded 6600 cubic meters, noted M. Ishkin. He urged citizens to restore order to the graves to the parents' day, which falls on May 7 this year.
Collected garbage is recommended to convey to special containers so that it can be quickly transported to landfills.
Citizens are asked not to set fire to garbage in the open air or in containers in order to avoid a fire. According to M. Ishkin, 2 containers got on fire by the fault of one of the visitors on one of the city cemeteries yesterday. Thanks to the quick intervention of the fire services, the fire was located, and the perpetrator was detained by the police. In the territory of Tatarstan from April 25 to May 10, there is a special fire protection regime. During this period, you cannot burn dry grass and garbage or cook food on the fire.
On Victory Day, ceremonies with the participation of veterans and home front workers will be held at the cemeteries of the city. Thus, by May 9, it is necessary to put in order the places of military graves after winter, noted Denis Kalinkin, the head of the Executive Committee.
