(KZN.RU, June 24, Alina Berezhnaya). On June 26, in Kazan, a citywide graduation party will be held for the first time at the site in front of the stadium “Kazan Arena”. Guests of the holiday will be 5766 graduates of Kazan schools. Airat Faizov, the chairman of the Committee on Children and Youth Affairs, told about the program of the festive event today at the Business Monday.
The speaker reminded that the last 12 years, Kazan held citywide last ring for city graduates. This holiday traditionally took place in May before the start of the unified state exam. “Together with teachers and graduates of schools, it was decided not to distract children from preparing for exams and to organize a city prom night for them at the end of the examination”, said A. Faizov.
The festive event will begin at 5 pm. A rich concert program was prepared for graduates. The band “Malbek and Suzanna”, the winner of the second season of the TV show Songs, rapper Slava Slame, “Volga-Volga” band, and the Tatar pop star Gulnaz Battalova will perform on the stage. “Graduates specifically asked us to have as little of the official part as possible, and more time for dancing and rest”, said A. Faizov.
This evening, graduates will sing the song “Where childhood goes” along with a choir in karaoke mode to the accompaniment of the orchestra “Sforzando” and the rock band “A-class”. The highlight of the evening will be the traditional school waltz. It will be performed by 150 dance couples to the singing of a combined choir of 600 ninth-graders. Then hundreds of pigeons will be launched into the sky as a symbol of freedom and entry into a new stage of life.
The evening will also include the awarding of the best students, including numerous winners of All-Russian and international specialized Olympiads. “For the sixth year in a row, Kazan takes the third place after Moscow and St. Petersburg in the ranking of cities according to the results of the All-Russian School Olympiads”, said A. Faizov.
The holiday will end at 9.30 pm with a colorful salute.
“We want the citywide graduation to become a good tradition”, added A. Faizov.
Denis Kalinkin, the head of the Executive Committe, reminded that graduation is one of the most exciting events in the life of every person, so the celebration should be held with dignity. “Many people remember their high school graduation. Graduation from school is an important stage in the life of graduates, so we want this holiday to be memorable”, said D. Kalinkin.
