Eight thousand teachers from 21 countries participate in the contest.
Almaz Khamidullin, director of the Kazan school “Unber”, who previously worked as a mathematics teacher at the lyceum No.2 of the Moskovsky district, represents Russia at the international contest. The young teacher is the only representative from Russia who has qualified for the final of the Global Teacher Prize.
The International Global Teacher Prize is being held for the seventh year. The best teachers of the world become its participants. This year, 8 thousand teachers from 21 countries participate along with the Kazan teacher Almaz Khamidullin.
A teacher from Kazan began his pedagogical career in Nizhnekamsk, in 2016 he moved to the capital of Tatarstan and worked as a mathematics teacher at school No.2 of the Moskovsky district for 5 years. This year, his graduates have entered prestigious international universities – two are studying in Hong Kong, the others – in leading institutions in Moscow and St. Petersburg.
Ten finalists of the award will be selected in October, the winner will be announced in November and will receive one million dollars.
