The deputies supported the transformation of the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports of the RT into two units

The decision was supported by 75 deputies at the meeting of the State Council.

Today the parliamentarians agreed on the proposal of Rustam Minnikhanov, the President of the RT, on the transformation of the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports of the RT into the Ministry for Youth Affairs and the Ministry of Sport at a meeting of the State Council of the RT. The need for such a solution arose long ago, said Shamil Gafarov, the deputy prime minister and the head of the Office of the Cabinet of Ministers of the RT.

Shamil Gafarov reminded that last year, on the decision of Farid Mukhametshin, the chairman of the State Council, an interdepartmental working group was formed to analyze the implementation of the state youth policy. Together with the Government of the RT, various issues were considered, including proposals on organizational, structural, functional and personnel strengthening of the youth policy. In particular, it was proposed to create a separate structure in the system of executive bodies that will deal with issues of youth policy.

The decision was made with 75 votes in favor and 4 against, reports the press service of the State Council of the RT.
