Deputies of the Kazan City Duma discussed the activities of the Kazan linear administration of the MIA in transport

They recommended that police officers pay particular attention to the safety of citizens during WorldSkills.

(KZN.RU, March 20). Yesterday, the meeting of the standing commission of the Kazan City Duma on the rule of law and order and local self-government was held in the capital of Tatarstan. The deputies heard and discussed a report on the activities of the Kazan linear administration of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in transport and recommended that police officers pay special attention to the safety of citizens during WorldSkills.

In 2018, Stanislav Bogomolov, the head of the Kazan linear administration of the MIA of Russia, told the deputies about the measures taken to ensure law and order at the railway, water, and air transport facilities. He noted that last year, the staff of the administration in Kazan carried out a set of organizational and practical measures to improve work on the detection and investigation of crimes, to ensure the personal and property security of citizens. Thus, special protection was provided during the preparation and holding of the World Cup, the international stage of the World Cup in swimming, and other major events. “As a result of the work, terrorist acts, manifestations of extremism in the areas served, group violations of public order were not committed”, marked S. Bogomolov.

Operational and service activities of the divisions of the Kazan linear administration indicate the preservation of control over the situation at transport facilities, noted the deputies.

Today, Kazan is conducting routine preparations for the WorldSkills Championship, which will be held in the capital of Tatarstan this summer. As part of the training, the administration personnel carry out a wide range of anti-terrorism measures, added S. Bogomolov. The deputies of the standing commission recommended paying special attention to access control of transport infrastructure facilities, inspection of hand luggage. They also suggested closer cooperation of the Kazan linear administration with the municipality on technical support, parking for people with disabilities, premises for the accommodation of existing personnel, and others.

Summing up the meeting, the deputies of the standing commission thanked the staff of Kazan linear administration. They noted that they are doing everything necessary to keep the service facilities stable and the passengers and support staff to feel safe.
