The head of the Executive Committee urged to pay attention to cleaning the sidewalks from snow and ice.
(KZN.RU, November 26, Ksenia Shvetsova). Over the past day, 1085 tons of snow were removed from the roads of Kazan, 260 workers were involved in cleaning. In total, 9.1 mm of precipitation fell from 20 to 26 of November, the average daily operation of equipment for its cleaning was 185 units. Igor Kulyazhev, the deputy chairman of the Committee for External Improvement, reported this at the Business Monday today.
Over the past day, 419 units of equipment, including 169 combined road machines, 4 snow loaders, 125 brush tractors, 4 graders, 44 wheel loaders, 30 MKSM “Barsik”, 42 dump trucks, and other types of equipment, went to the streets of the city.
1128 tons of anti-icing materials were used per day on the roads of Kazan, including 292 tons of reagent and 837 tons of sand-salt mixture.
According to I. Kulyazhev, today the cleaning machines work mainly on the first priority stages: sprinkling with the anti-icing material and sweeping of the snow. The work is also being done on the sidewalks. Now 500 workers per day and 60 units of small-scale mechanization clean them. “We have started snow removal since Saturday. We will continue this work and focus on cleaning the sidewalks”, said the speaker.
“The order is maintained on the roads. But it was difficult to move on the sidewalks in the first snowy days, there were complaints from all parts of the city”, said Denis Kalinkin, the head of the Executive Committee. “Please remind contractors, owners and management companies that we cannot postpone the winter period. The administrative and technical inspection will help the forgetful ones”.
Since the beginning of the season, 2551 tons of snow have been removed from the streets of the city. According to the district administrations, 338 road workers and 264 units of special equipment will clean the streets from the snow today.
