The list of products subject to certification will include finished goods From July 1, 2018.
(KZN.RU, April 9, Ksenia Shvetsova). By July 1 of this year, the introduction of electronic veterinary certification, which began in 2015, will be completed. At the moment, goods of animal origin, such as meat, milk and honey, are subject to certification. From the beginning of July, this list will include finished goods: dairy products, sausages, and canned products. Timur Galeev, the head of the GBU “Gosvetob’edinenie of Kazan”, announced this today at the business Monday.
For today, the Veterinary and Sanitary Examination Unit has been conducting control in 12 laboratories and 18 control points. During the year, laboratories carried out 670 thousand examinations. As a result, 264 tons of animal and vegetable products were not allowed on the shelves. Thanks to this work, one can quickly respond to the danger of spreading infections. In May of last year, the distribution of products from the Rostov region, infected with avian influenza, was not allowed in Tatarstan. “Half a million chicken eggs, 11 tons of turkey meat, and 177 heads of sick poultry were recycled”, said T. Galeev.
D. Kalinkin, the head of the Executive Committee, noted that large volumes of culling of low-quality products speak about the effectiveness of the work being done. “Gosvetob’edinenie provides an important function but sometimes it is imperceptible to the citizens. The first and most important one concerns the control of the products coming into the city”, said D. Kalinkin. “Strict control is necessary for us, because the quality of products affects the health of people. We know that there are no absolutely harmless falsifications, so we must stop their entry on the shelves”.
