Youth Day will be celebrated with a large-scale festival near the Kazan River Port

<p> (KZN.RU, June 24, Alina Berezhnaya). On June 27, Kazan will celebrate Youth Day. This year, the area near the River Port will be the central site for the celebration. Airat Faizov, the chairman of the Committee on Children and Youth Affairs, told about this at the Business Monday at the Kazan Executive Committee today. </p> <p> A rich program is prepared for the guests of the holiday. Thus, areas for streetball, street dancing, graffiti, skateboarding, lounge area will be organized on the site. An educational lecture hall will also be held there. </p> <p> A music contest of young performers will take place at the site, where Kazan bands will perform. The headliners of the festival will be Terry (Oleg Ternovoy), the winner of the first season of the show “Songs” on TNT, Kashin, the popular Russian DJ, and the band “Nervy”. </p> <p> “The place is popular with young people and is suitable for holding an event of this format. We expect that more than 10 thousand people will participate in the festival”, said A. Faizov. The festival is held by the Ministry of Youth Affairs of the RT jointly with the Kazan City Hall. </p> <p> On the same day, the Cultural Center “Moskovsky” will host the awarding ceremony of the Republican Prize for Personnel Support in the Sphere of State Youth Policy “Na Odnoy Volne”; experts and activists of the youth policy of Kazan will be awarded. A. Faizov said that the event is dedicated to the 25th anniversary of the state youth policy of Tatarstan. </p> <p> Denis Kalinkin, the head of the Executive Committee, noted that Kazan pays great attention to the future of young people, designs programs and creates all conditions for comfortable development. “The younger generation in our city has opportunities to realize their abilities and ambitions in various industries and fields. Half of the republican and municipal programs are for children and young people. There are the construction and overhaul of kindergartens, schools, teen clubs, and summer camps. Every year, new playgrounds and available sports yards appear in the city. Infrastructure is created for young people to study and rest in public spaces”, said D. Kalinkin. He added that Kazan is an active city. “Our task is to let the youth express themselves and realize their ideas”, he said. </p>
