D. Sannikova: “Kazan will enter the catalogs of tour operators in Spain”

The largest airline in Spain “Iberia” is considering the possibility of launching a direct flight Kazan – Madrid.

In 2018, tour operators from Spain will come to Kazan with inspection visits, after which the city will enter the catalogs for Spanish tourists, said Daria Sannikova, the director of the Committee of Tourism Promotion, during the report of the Executive Committee to Ilsur Metshin, the Mayor of Kazan.

The agreement was reached at the international tourist exhibition FITUR in Madrid.

“For now, just Moscow and St. Petersburg are in the catalogs of Spanish tour operators. The recognition of Kazan increases and, of course, the city will be in catalogs after the inspection visits. And Spanish tourists will travel to Kazan”, said the director of the committee.

Now the airline “Iberia”, which is the largest air carrier of Spain, is considering the possibility of launching a direct flight on the route Kazan – Madrid. According to D. Sannikova, the option is considered, in which the aircraft will run twice a week. She noted that Madrid is a hub for Latin American countries.
