91 tons of construction materials, food, and household chemicals were shipped in five trucks
Today, the fourth shipment of humanitarian aid collected by citizens and business community under the auspices of the ANO Good Kazan was shipped from the Kazan Kremlin to Lisichansk and Rubezhnoye. Five trucks loaded with food, household supplies, and construction materials totaling more than 91 tons were sent to residents of cities supported by Tatarstan. Ilsur Metshin, Mayor of the capital of Tatarstan, inspected the departure of the convoy.
«The next humanitarian train will be shipped to our colleagues in Lisichansk. Currently, the main focus is on construction and roofing materials, polycarbonate, and household chemicals, among other things, that the locals in Lisichansk have requested. Peaceful life is improving, and we will continue to provide them with support in every way possible. I would like to extend my gratitude to all the caring citizens of Kazan and the business community, who have contributed to the collection of humanitarian aid. This work will continue», – said Ilsur Metshin.
Kazan is constantly in touch with residents of Lisichansk and Rubezhnoe, responding to their requests and needs by providing food, medicine, building materials, warm clothing, toys, and sweet gifts for children.
Now, the shipment contains materials required to restore housing infrastructure in the supported cities. Specifically, 47 tons of slate, 19 tons of chipboard, nine tons of polycarbonate, as well as components for specialized equipment, food, and household chemicals totaling 16 tons, were sent to Lisichansk and Rubezhnoye.
Kazan enterprises have traditionally been involved in the collection of humanitarian aid convoys. For instance, they contributed in purchasing a computer and touchscreen display to transmit video and graphic data to the children's music school №2 in Lisichansk, as well as providing food and stationery. Aqua park and Hotel Riviera regularly provide assistance by bringing food and essential supplies to the warehouse on a monthly basis.
Since the beginning of the special military operation, 1,574 tons of humanitarian aid was shipped in 83 trucks to supported cities. The latest shipment was in June - three heavy trucks with food, medicine, construction materials, parts and work wear weighing a total of 65 tons were prepared for the residents of Lisichansk and Rubezhnoye.
For reference, collection points for humanitarian aid continue to operate in Kazan and the single place for picking up cargo is the warehouse on Gorkovskoye Highway. The premises were provided for free by one of the entrepreneurs in the city.
