(KZN.RU, November 30). The book festival will be held in the Center for Contemporary Culture “Smena” on December 8 and 9. A wide range of literature will be presented to visitors, over 10 thousand books.
Visitors will be able to choose a book for every taste: modern and classical fiction, journalistic, scientific, popular science, documentary, and children's literature. At the festival, books will be at a cheaper price than in network and online stores, as the book festival allows making direct sales with no surcharge of intermediaries.
This time, about 50 publishers will present their selection, which is selected specifically for Kazan.
You will find both classic works and new items that appeared on the eve of the event. Among them is a novel about the history of Stalin's times “Rebellion” by business journalist Nikolai Kononov, a new work by a classic of the XX century V. Zebald's “Schwindel”, “The History of Russian Cinema in 50 Films” by Mikhail Trofimenkov, a continuation of the famous series from fashion historian Michel Pasturo “Red: The History of Color”, a novelty of the historical “Templars: the birth and death of the Great Order” by Dan Jones, “Modernism. The temptation of heresy” by the influential American historian and literary critic Peter Gay, and “Thoughts”, the last volume of the collected works of the artist Dmitry Prigov.
