This year over a thousand mercury fixtures will be replaced by LED lamps in Kazan

<p> (KZN.RU, July 29, Ksenia Shvetsova). The AO “Kazenergo” company managed to save almost 21 million roubles for the last year due to replacement of 6100 obsolete mercury lamps to LED lamps. This year the enterprise is going to replace additionally 7100 inefficient mercury lamps to modern ones, Rustam Abdulkhakov, the chief manager of the company, informed today at the Business Monday. </p> <p> Increasing of powerefficiency in outdoor lighting tasks it is possible to achieve at the expense of the installation modern light-emitting-device lamps and automated equipment, as R.Abdulkhakov told. For 3 years in Tatarstan capital city they equipped more than 6,5 thousand new lightpoints, and the extent of networks of outside illumination has grew by 190 km. </p> <p> Only last year within the powerservice contract the enterprise replaced 6100 obsolete powerextravagant fixtures to modern light-emitting-device lamps. As a result, the annual economy of the electric power accounted for hardly less than 21 million roubles. </p> <p> Moreover, the enterprise is going to solve the problem with inefficient fixtures of individual inclusion as well. “The replacement more than six thousand of such lightpoints will allow to lower not only considerably power consumption, but also to raise quality and reliability of outside illumination, - R.Abdulkhakov noted. - The main thing is the replacement of fixtures in city settlements. It is important very much, because the mercury fixtures have bad lighting, and consume much electric power. And the LED lamps will light up better, to consume less, and their reliability will increase“. </p> <p> Till the end of this year in Tatarstan capital city the number of LED lamps will consists on 20 thousand ones, as the speaker added. </p> <p> For the last 8 years in Kazan the level of system control of outside illumination has been increased in a few times. If at the beginning of 2012 it will have 42%, then to the end of 2019 it will reach 97,5%, 861 items out of 883 ones will be automated. The automation allows to control illumination lines, including and switching off light at the necessary time. </p> <p> “The transition to automated management by street fixtures is increase of convenience and effectiveness of the work. And the most important thing is to provide safety of citizens at nights“, - Evgenia Lodvigova, the first deputy head of the Kazan Municipality, noted. </p> <p> The “Kazenergo” company controls 82 thousand lightpoints in the city and more than 2600 km of outside illumination networks, that is, all the system of street illumination in Kazan. </p> <p>   </p>
