More than 40 concerts were given in the capital of Tatarstan as part of the festival “Kazan Fanfare”

From 8 to 11 of August, 19 collectives and more than 700 musicians performed in the city.

(KZN.RU, August 14). More than 40 concerts were given in the capital of Tatarstan within the framework of the International Festival of Wind Orchestras “Kazan Fanfares”. During four days of the large-scale festival from 8 to 11 of August, 19 collectives performed, as well as more than 700 musicians from famous orchestras of the Ministry of Defense of the RF and the National Guard of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the RF, the National Guard of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Republic of Bulgaria, as well as from Kazan and other cities of Russia.

On August 11, the grand closing of the event took place at the festival’s main venue in the Kazan Kremlin near the Kul Sharif Mosque. Traditionally, the hymns of the participants of the musical festival sounded there. Zilya Valeeva, the director of the reserve-museum Kazan Kremlin, addressed the guests with a welcoming speech. She noted that the military orchestras showed the highest musical culture at the festival. They proved that they can perform and delight people in any weather.

“The festival program has been completed”, marked Z. Valeeva. 19 collectives performed in Kazan, 15 of them were guests of the city, 13 groups performed for the first time in the capital of Tatarstan. 40 concerts were given for four days. Zilya Valeeva thanked all the participants of the festival and handed over the letters of gratitude and diplomas to the leaders of the collectives.

The final concert of the festival was continued by the performance of orchestras and artists, who pleased the audience with a diverse program. One of the highlights of the holiday was the performance of Veniamin Myasoedov, a multi-instrumentalist, an Honored Artist of Russia (Moscow). Accompanied by a mixed orchestra, he performed potpourri from the Tatar and Russian songs on bagpipes, including the melody “Tugan tel”.

“I have the most vivid impressions of the festival”, Veniamin Myasoedov shared with reporters. “This is my first time. It seems to me that the main task of the festival is to bring people together and demonstrate the capabilities of our orchestras, which are fluent in any genres”.

In an interview with reporters, Zilya Valeeva, the director of the reserve-museum Kazan Kremlin, noted that the festival in Kazan was held at a high level. The music festival went beyond the boundaries of the Kazan Kremlin and took place in parks and public gardens of the city. For the first time, it went to the Kazan International Airport and Vysokaya Gora. 

At the end of the closing ceremony, the mixed orchestra performed the “March of the Red Army” by Salikh Saidashev to the thunderous applause of the audience.
