More than 200 sambo wrestlers will compete for the Cup of the President of the RT in Kazan

Athletes from 25 countries will come to the tournament.

(KZN.RU, October 4). From October 5 to October 7, the International Sambo Tournament for the Cup of the President of the RT will be held in the Palace of Martial Arts “Ak Bars”.

More than 200 athletes from 25 countries will take part in the competition: Russia, Germany, France, Italy, Czech Republic, Hungary, the Netherlands, Latvia, Lithuania, Serbia, Greece, Estonia, Romania, Georgia, Israel, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan, Armenia, and others. Athletes will determine the strongest in 27 weight categories in sports and combat sambo.

The tournament was assigned the category “A” in2018. It gives the winners of the tournament the right to be awarded the title of master of sports of international class, as well as to receive rating points for participation in the European Games-2019.

Preliminary competitions will be held on October 5 from 10 am to 3.30 pm, the grand opening is at 4 pm, final meetings and awarding of winners are from 5 pm to 9 pm.

On October 6, preliminary competitions will be held from 10 am to 4 pm; final meetings and awarding of winners are from 4 pm to 9 pm; the closing ceremony is at 9 pm, reports in the Republican Agency for Press and Mass Communications.
