Today, the traditional winter farewell took place in the Kirovsky district of Kazan with funny contests, chastooshkas, scarecrow burning and the performance of the band “Mirage”. More than 20 thousand people visited the Kazan Maslenitsa at Lebyazhie Lake. </p> <p> </p> <p> From the very morning, the guests were met by the creative teams of the House of Culture “Yunost”, the folk ensemble “Krasnaya Gorka”, the dance groups “Smailiki” and “Salavat Kupere”. The holiday was fun both for children and their parents. The organizers have prepared contests for aiming, dexterity and physical training: throwing wooden spoons and felt boots, performing folk chastooshkas, as well as cheerful children's starts. </p> <p> </p> <p> Guests of the Maslenitsa were given the opportunity to show themselves on the stage, show their artistic abilities. The winners of the competitions held on Instagram on the page of the administration of the district were awarded on the stage today. </p> <p> </p> <p> Nina Tikhomirova, one of the winners of the contest, admitted that she first visited the Maslenitsa and immediately fell in love with this holiday. “Most of all, I was impressed by the feeling of unity in this holiday. There is a general joy, the mood of the holiday. Next year I will definitely bring my relatives and friends with me”, promised N. Tikhomirova. </p> <p> </p> <p> Sergey Mironov, the head of the Kirovsky and Moskovsky districts, congratulated the guests on the holiday on Maslenitsa. He noted that Maslenitsa is a true holiday of friendship, respect, and honoring of traditions, which is celebrated together. </p> <p> </p> <p> With the cheering words and loud applause, they set the scarecrow on fire. </p> <p> </p> <p> The main gift for the guests of the festival was the performance of Margarita Sukhankina, the lead singer of the band “Mirage”. She thanked everyone for the Kazan hospitality and performed such hits as “Music Tied Us Up”, “Night is Coming”, “New Hero”, reports the press service of the Kirovsky and Moscow districts of Kazan. </p>
