Over 20,000 people applied to participate in the Kazan Marathon

Most of them are residents of other regions

More than 20,000 applications have been received to participate in the 10^th Kazan Marathon, over 70% of them are from other regions. This was announced by the Tatarstan Minister of Sports Vladimir Leonov.

“There are many participants from all over the country, as well as foreign participants, there are even Australia and African countries,” - the minister reported.

Vladimir Leonov noted that about 30,000 participants are expected this year, which is a record number. In previous years, the average number of athletes reached 10-15 thousand. The Russian Championship is also planned as part of the marathon this year.

The event will take place on May 11-12. The start will take place at the Kazan Kremlin. The registration is available by the link.
