The international airport “Kazan” served more than 2145 million passengers since the beginning of the year

The increase on international flights was 30.6%, on domestic flights – 22.5%.

(KZN.RU, September 27). For 8 months of this year, the international airport “Kazan” served 2 million 145 thousand 606 passengers. This is by 25.3% (by 433 thousand 860) more than the same period in 2017. 12196 flights were made.

International flights carried 785 thousand 431 passengers, an increase was 30.6%. The most positive dynamics was shown by such directions as Dubai (+108.6%), Djerba (+106.6%), Bodrum (+62.9%), Phuket (+38.4%), Dalaman (+32, 7%), Bangkok (+24.9%), Istanbul (+24.7%), Riga (+17.5%), Antalya (+17.2%), Thessaloniki (+15.1%), and Frankfurt on the Main (+7.4%).

In 2018, flights were opened to new foreign destinations: Alanya, Batumi, Bologna, Minsk, Pardubice, and Tbilisi. The flight to Sharjah, which was carried out until 2016, was resumed.

1 million 360 thousand 576 passengers were transported on domestic flights, an increase was 22.5%. The largest positive dynamics among domestic destinations was shown by flights to Anapa (+222.4%), Yekaterinburg (+80.8%), Sochi (+38.1%), St. Petersburg (+28.2%), and Moscow (+15.6%).

Domestic destinations are 63.41% of the total passenger traffic passing through the Kazan international airport.

New domestic destinations: Barnaul, Volgograd, Voronezh, Makhachkala, Novosibirsk, Rostov-on-Don, Tomsk, Yaroslavl, reports the press service of the airport.
