More than 165 thousand students of Kazan will celebrate Tatiana's day

<p> On January 25, the day of Russian students is being celebrated– Tatiana's day. An extensive festive program with concerts, competitions, folk festivals and “graduation” at the Supreme court of the Republic of Tatarstan has been prepared for students of Kazan universities and colleges. Also, on this day, the award ceremony “Student of the year of the Republic of Tatarstan” will take place. This was announced today at Business Monday by the head of the Committee for children and youth affairs Airat Faizov. </p> <p> Today, more than 165 thousand students study at 28 universities and 36 colleges in Kazan, 79 thousand of them are from other cities and almost 13 thousand are foreigners. On Tatiana's day, all of them will have an opportunity to take part in festive events. So, the colleges will host concerts and honoring students named Tatiana. At the Kazan national research technical University named after A.N.Tupolev, the student's day will be celebrated at the skating rink at the Black lake park – a festive program with competitions, master classes and treats will take place here. </p> <p> The Union of students and postgraduates of the Kazan national research technological University has prepared an event where students can learn about the history of the holiday, as well as life hacks for preparing for exams. </p> <p> January 25 will be a special day for students of the Russian State University of justice – according to A.Faizov, on this day they will have a “graduation” at the Supreme court. Kazan Federal University will host folk festival with pancakes and tea, a festive concert, and students named Tatiana will meet the rector. </p> <p> The major event will be the “Student of the year of the Republic of Tatarstan” award, which this year celebrates its 25th anniversary. Students of the Republic will be awarded in 18 categories, the main of which will traditionally be the Grand Prix. </p> <p> The award ceremony for the winners will take place on January 25 at the Pyramid cultural and entertainment complex. </p> <p> “In most universities, Tatiana's day marks the end of the winter session and the beginning of the long-awaited break. I am sure that the planned activities will be held at the proper level and appropriate mood – with a drive and good support of the audience”, - commented vice-mayor of Kazan Evgenia Lodvigova. </p>
