More than 100 strongest sportsmen will compete in Taekwondo competitions in Kazan

The Tatarstan national team will be represented at the tournament by 10 Taekwondo players from Yelabuga and Naberezhnye Chelny.

(KZN.RU, September 28). On September 29, Kazan will host the X All-Russian competition in Taekwondo “Cup of the Ambassador of the Republic of Korea in Russia” in the Center of Boxing and Table Tennis.

More than 100 strongest sportsmen will participate in the competitions, representatives of teams from eight federal districts of Russia. The purpose of the competition is to identify the strongest teams, and also to popularize taekwondo in Russia to form a healthy lifestyle and to raise the level of physical, moral, and spiritual culture among young people.

The Tatarstan team in the tournament will be represented by 10 sportsmen from Yelabuga and Naberezhnye Chelny, including Yuliya Miyuts and Rafael Kamalov, the strongest representatives of the sport in the country and numerous winners of international competitions.

Mr. Wu Yong Keun, the Ambassador Extraordinary and the Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Korea's Ambassador to the Russian Federation, Anatoly Terekhov, the president of the Union of Russia taekwondo, and others will be honorary guests of the competitions.

The feature of the competition will be the participation of the demonstration team of the world famous center Kukkiwon. It is famous for its breathtaking tricks, according to the website of the Ministry of Sports of the RT.
