The sports camp of the Kazan football club Rubin is planned to be modernized. The project of renovation of the venue was presented today to the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and the head of the Executive Committee of Kazan Rustem Gafarov. The meeting was held before the start of the 2023/2024 Russian Football Premier League.

Rustam Minnikhanov got acquainted with the sports camp of the club, including football pitch, recreational areas and locker rooms. Chairman of the Management Board of ANO FC Rubin Marat Safiullin presented the project of modernization of the sports camp to the head of the region.

Later, Rustam Minnikhanov met with the management, players and coaching staff of Rubin. The Rais of Tatarstan thanked athletes for the good results in the 2022/2023 season of the First Football League. “We are sincerely glad that you showed a decent game. It is impossible to love you only your winnings but hate you for your losses! Together we will experience any failure and rejoice in victories. You must be sure that the republic supports you. We have big plans to modernize the camp,”- Rustam Minnikhanov said.

He also thanked the head coach of Rubin and positively assessed the work of the Board of FC Rubin. “The season will not be easy,”- the head of the region said in conclusion. “We need to move forward! We are with you – with great expectations and hopes. Good luck!”. Rustam Minnikhanov presented Tatarstan state awards to the players and team members.

Marat Safiullin the chairman of the Board of FC Rubin, noted that last season the team played with dignity and returned to the Premier League. “You are always aware about our problems and help us solve them,”- Marat Safiullin addressed the Rais, “We understand what serious challenges the club faces, and we will try to manage them. Rubin is a club of glorious traditions.”

The head coach of the football club Rashid Rakhimov said: “I can promise that of those players who will take the field, there will not be one indifferent!”. He also thanked the republic for the support provided to the team.

Rustam Minnikhanov was awarded a commemorative gold medal of the championship and a Rubin jersey with the signatures of football players, the Press Office of the Rais of Tatarstan reports.
