Since June 1, a new service has been provided in the capital of Tatarstan, in test mode. And since today, it has finally been put into commercial operation, said Aidar Abdulkhakov, the chairman of the Committee of Transport, today at the Business Monday.
Mobile cash registers allow accepting transport cards, contactless cards, and cash payments, said A. Abdulhakov.
“Since June 1 during the month, the interaction of the systems and all the involved structures was debugged; an analysis of the appeal of citizens was carried out”, explained the chairman of the Committee of Transport. “The number of passengers paying for travel by card in a bus has increased 4 times in the last week of June compared to the first week”.
From June 1, passengers can pay for travel by using transport cards, cash payments, as well as using contactless bank cards of the national payment system MIR, international payment systems VISA, MasterCard, and other electronic devices with NFC technology.
Since last year, you can pay for travel in trams, trolleybuses, and subways by bank cards.
