The bus on natural gas in Kazan was tested on two routes of public transport

Special weighting, simulating the weight of real passengers, placed inside the “eco-bus” for the most accurate results of testing.

(KZN.RU, March 20). The test operation of the low-floor bus of the brand “NEFAZ2 5299-0000040-57”, operating on compressed natural gas, started in Kazan. The conditions of its work are as close as possible to the real. The “eco-bus” passes full routes, stopping at all stops of the chosen route. The vehicle was assembled at the NEFAZ (Neftekamsk Automobile Plant), a subsidiary of the PAO “KAMAZ”.

The test operation is carried out at two city enterprises. For 3 days, the bus leaves on routes “PATP №2”, and for 4 days – “PATP №4”. The “eco-bus” is empty for now, but special weights that simulate the weight of real passengers placed in the cabin for the most accurate test results. Total passenger capacity of the bus is 110 people, 28 of them are seats. In addition, a place for a wheelchair is provided.

As it was told in the Committee of Transport, every day the routes are changing. On March 19, the bus passed on route №45, and today – №22. The choice of a new route, its duration, complexity, the number of stops are determined depending on how well the bus coped with the test trip on the previous day.
