A.Popova: “Tatarstan shows one of the best results in the country in measures to combat a spread of infection”

The head of Federal Service for Protection of Consumer Rights and Human Welfare came to Kazan with a working visit.

In the Republic of Tatarstan, from the very beginning of the pandemic and the introduction of measures against the coronavirus infection, there was no panic. Among the regions of Russia, Tatarstan performs best results in efficiency and consistency of work in the fight against a coronavirus infection. This was stated today at a meeting of the board of the Tatarstan Department of Russian Agency for Protection of Consumer Rights and Human Welfare, held in Kazan, by the head of the Federal Service for Protection of Consumer Rights and Human Welfare – Chief State Sanitary Doctor of the Russian Federation Anna Popova. The meeting was held at the Tatarstan Government House with participation of Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov.

Speaking to the participants of the meeting, Anna Popova noted, in particular, that Tatarstan, as part of the prevention of the spread of COVID-19, came out with a minimum number of the coronavirus infection sources, there was no spread of infection in schools or hospitals.

“I want to thank all those was in a single formation, shoulder to shoulder, and still do not leave their post. This, in my opinion, is not only a great work, but also a great feat”, - said A.Popova.

The head of Federal service emphasized that it is very important to justify the trust of people who observe security measures and follow the recommendations of specialists.

“We see and appreciate what you are doing. You have clear numbers. The work is organized without failures, without panic. During the summer, the children had a rest in health camps. In September, children went to schools, students - to universities. All this is the result of correct measures and systematic work”, - the speaker noted.

The Chief Sanitary Doctor of the Russian Federation also noted that the level of hard cases of coronavirus infection in Tatarstan is lower than the average in Russia and does not exceed 3%. In general, the head of Federal Service for Protection of Consumer Rights and Human Welfare said that the systematic measures taken in the republic and strict control over their implementation give good results, the Tatarstan President’s Press Office reports.
