May 9 in Kazan: Victory Parade, “The Immortal Regiment”, a celebration in Pobedy Park, and a concert at the Kazan Arena

The holiday in the capital of Tatarstan will be celebrated at four main sites.

The residents and guests of the city can attend festive events that will cover all areas of the city, parks, squares, embankments, and other public spaces. The main events on this day will be the Victory Parade, the action “Immortal Regiment”, a holiday in Pobedy Park, as well as a concert at the stadium “Kazan Arena”.

The Victory Parade on the Millennium Square

One of the main sites for the celebration of Victory Day in Kazan will be the Millennium Square. Anyone can see the solemn parade and the theater program. The audience will be able to sit near the walls of the Kazan Kremlin.

The parade will begin at 10 am, but citizens are invited to come to the solemn program to 9.30 am. The most convenient entrance to the parade is from the metro station “Kremlevskaya”.

The action “Immortal regiment”

This year, the route of movement of the participants in the action of the memory “Immortal Regiment” remained the same. The gathering of participants will begin at 1 pm at the intersection of streets Karl Marks and Tolstoy in the area of the Agrarian University, where the inspection zone will be located. The entrance to the column is also available from streets Mushtari, Gogol, and Zhukovsky.

The start of the march in Kazan is scheduled for 3 pm. The column with the Victory Banner in the head will begin movement at the intersection of Pushkin and Karl Marks streets, at the Opera and Ballet Theater named after Musa Jalil. The Immortal Regiment will pass through the center of the city: Karl Marks Street, across Lobachevsky Street, past the park “Chernoe Ozero” and along Kremlevskaya Street. The length of the route will be about 2 km.

The march will end at the Millennium Square, where the participants of the action will see a concert program.

The holiday in Pobedy Park

At 10 am, a festive program starts in Pobedy Park, which will last all day. Until 11 am, a festival “Heirs of Victory” will be held there, the work of children's interactive sites is planned until 3 pm.

From 11 am to 12 pm, a festive parade of young men and law enforcement detachments of Kazan schoolchildren will be held in the park, and from 12 pm to 2 pm, a gala concert of the children's festival “Victory Fanfare”. From 2.30 pm to 6 pm, a concert program with performances of creative bands of the district is waiting for visitors to the park. The concert program “RioRita, the joy of victory” will take place from 6 pm to 7 pm.

At 7 pm, a concert program of art masters and youth groups starts at the stadium “Kazan Arena”. In the same place, the concert program “Singing Kazan” will begin at 9 pm, and the festive day will end with colorful fireworks, which will begin at 10 pm.
