May 7: Kazan celebrates the Victory

The program includes concerts, exhibitions of creative works, folk festivals “We are your grandsons, Victory!”.

(KZN.RU, May 7). Today, festive concerts in honor of veterans, art exhibitions, children's drawings competitions, folk festivals, as well as sports competitions in swimming, football, table hockey are held in Kazan in honor of the celebration of the 73rd anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War.

The festive day will begin with concerts in honor of participants of the Great Patriotic War. At 12 pm, a concert “Flow, the song!" will take place in the House of Veterans of Privolzhsky district, after which the field kitchen and tea tables will be organized. At 1.30 pm, creative groups with a concert program dedicated to the Great Victory will perform in the Kirov garden of the Vakhitovsky district.

At 12 pm, two exhibitions will be opened in the children's art school №3 of the Kirovsky district: an exhibition of creative works “Victory Day” by artists Alexander Inshakov and Mikhail Kuznetsov and an exhibition of children's drawings. In addition, a regional contest of children's works “Victory May” will open in the center “Zarechie”.

At 2 pm, there will be a meeting near the monument to the workers of Polymer-Photo in Levchenko village in the Kirovsky district with the laying of flowers in honor of those who died during the war. And after, the celebratory event “May thunder of the 45th year...” will take place.

At 3 pm, a solemn meeting "They fought for their Motherland" with the participation of 500 veterans and workers of the rear will be held in the renovated House of Culture named after Lenin of the Aviastroitelny district. The holiday will continue in the park “Krylya Sovetov”, where everyone is invited to the folk festival “We are your grandchildren, Victory!” at 5 pm.

At 4 pm, a holiday “Veterans of our yard” will be held in the Sovetsky district. Kazan citizens are invited to the stand of the Memory in Iskra Street and in the square “Zvezdny” in Zakiev Street, №5. Similar celebrations will be arranged in the yard of the house on Karbyshev Street, №15 and for residents of Minskaya Street, №22.

During the day, the city will host sports events. Everyone can attend a friendly football match at the stadium “Tasma”. There will be a tournament in table hockey in the center “Zarechie” of the Kirovsky district, swimming competitions will be held in the swimming pool “Orgsintez”. And the All-Russian hockey youth tournament “Echo of Victory” starts in the club “Basco”. The championship of the Kirovsky and Moskovsky districts in football among general educational institutions for the prize of the club “Leather Ball” will begin at the Central Stadium and in the sports school “Tasma”.
