Races will take place at the water area of Kazanka River between the Millennium Bridge and the Kremlin dam.
(KZN.RU, August 7). The stage of the world championship in the air race Red Bull Air Race will be held on August 25-26 at the water area of the Kazanka River between the Millennium Bridge and the Kremlin dam. 14 pilots of the Master class and 6 pilots of the Challenger class will attend the race.
Kazan will host the championship for the second time. In July 2017, the first ever Russian stage of the race was held in the capital of Tatarstan. About 90 thousand people attended the event, according to the ANO “Directorate of Sports and Social Projects”.
This year, the main site for viewing will be the Family Center “Kazan”.
During the air races, there will be a ban on the use of small vessels, sailing, pleasure boats, sports vessels, including jet skis, kayaks, and rowing boats in the water area of the Kazanka River.
The Red Bull Air Race World Championship started in 2003. Since then, over 80 races have passed around the world. The Red Bull Air Race is attended by high-class pilots who compete in the speed, accuracy, and mastery of lightweight racing aircrafts control. The aircrafts accelerate to 370 km/h, and the pilots experience a physical load of up to 12 g when at low altitude they pass a track marked with 25-meter inflatable pylons.
