(KZN.RU, August 27). The first concert of the festival “Evening of the Opera Sforzando” took place on August 26 in the park “Chernoe Ozero”. More than 2000 people attended the event.

Kazan citizens watched the production of Anna Fyodorova “Carmen. Suite – Flamenco” and the comic opera “Telephone, or the Love of Three” by composer Giancarlo Menotti performed by the Youth Orchestra of the Development of Performing Arts Foundation “Sforzando”.

The final day of the festival will be held on September 2 in the Kazan Kremlin. Guests will see the chamber opera “Acis and Galatea” by Georg Handel. The plot tells the love story of Galatea, one of the daughters of the sea elder Nereus, and Atis, the handsome young man. The chamber opera “Maria de Buenos Aires” by Astor Piazzolla will sound in the second part of the program. The main character Maria is the personification of tango. Her destiny is a complex twist that tango experienced in the course of its development, which resulted in the emergence of “tango-nuevo”. The director of the works was Mnir Sokolov, an Honored Artist of the RF.

The concert starts at 8 pm. The admission is free, said the organizers.
