On 16 and 17 of June, Kazan will host the festival “Spirit Day in Sukonnaya Sloboda”

<p> (KZN.RU, June 13). On 16 and 17 of June, the IVth Orthodox City Festival “Spirits Day in Sukonnaya Sloboda” will be held in Kazan. It will bring together folk and spiritual culture during the celebration of the Trinity and the temple festival of the Temple of the Holy Spirit Descent. </p> <p> The holiday will be held at two sites: on the territory of the Temple of the Holy Spirit Descent and near the puppet theater “Ekiyat” at the site of the “Flower Festival”. The holiday is held with the blessing of Metropolitan of Kazan and Tatarstan Feofan. </p> <p> Traditionally, the festival program includes a large number of activities. The Sukonka fair at a historic site, folk craft master classes, the work of the unique Children's Kingdom and the Cossack Town thematic zone will be organized. </p> <p> As part of the music program, a gala concert with Russian ethno-musicians will be organized on June 16. Folk Fiction (Kazan), “Vozvraschenie” (Moscow), Taisiya Krasnopevtseva (Moscow), Stranniki (Penza), TESTO (St. Petersburg) are among them. The second holiday will complete the concert of sacred music from the choir “Old Russian Chant” (Moscow). Also, a concert of Kazan orthodox and folklore bands of Kazan, a youth evening with dances to the accordion will be held within the framework of the festival. </p> <p> In 2018, the festival “Spirits Day in Sukonnaya Sloboda” gathered more than four thousand citizens of different ages.
