On March 15, the results of the campaign “Health Ski Day” will be summed up in Kazan

On this day, 24 best young skiers will demonstrate their skills.

(KZN.RU, March 14). On March 15, the results of the sports event “Health Ski Day” among children with disabilities will be summed up in Kazan in the Gorkinsko-Ometievsky forest. On this day, 24 best skiers-students of boarding schools, who will be selected by coaches, will demonstrate their skills in skiing at a distance of 1000 meters in freestyle.

A cultural and entertainment program will be prepared for participants and guests of the event. Thus, young guests will be able to ride a dog sled, take a picture with dogs of the Husky breed, take part in competitions, receive commemorative prizes, and have pancakes.

The culmination will be the award ceremony. Irina Polyakova, a Russian biathlete and skier, champion and silver medalist of the Paralympic Winter Games, multiple world champion, Honored Master of Sports of Russia in ski racing and biathlon among athletes with disorders of the musculoskeletal system, will take part in it, reports the Sovetsky district’s administration.

The charity event started on December 5, 2018, with the support of the Federation of Ski Racing and Biathlon of Kazan. Thanks to the campaign, over 300 students of the correctional school and boarding schools of the Sovetsky district learned to ski over the winter, improved their skating skills, and took part in master classes from leading athletes.
