(KZN.RU, August 14). 10 medals were won by the students of the Republic Sports School of Olympic Reserve named after R. Nezhmetdinov in chess, checkers and Go at the championship of the Volga Federal District in Russian Checkers among men and women in Kazan.
Competitions were held from August 9 to 13 according to three programs: classic, fast and lightning-fast. The representatives of the Samara, Nizhny Novgorod, and Kirov Oblasts, Perm Territory, as well as Udmurtia, Chuvashia, Bashkortostan, and Tatarstan, fought in the competition. 4 grandmasters, 8 masters of sports of Russia, 27 candidates for master of sports and 15 first-class students were among the participants.
The students of the Tatarstan Sports School have 4 gold, 4 silver, and 2 bronze medals. Dmitry Tsinman took the first place in the classical program among men; Laysan Nasybulina and Daria Pigacheva took the second and third places among women. In the quick program among men, gold and silver went to Denis Shogin and Dmitry Tsinman, and Daria Pigacheva was the first among women. In the lightning-fast program, Dmitry Tsinman and Shamil Gayazov took silver and bronze, and gold and silver went to Daria Shonina and Daria Pigacheva.
