<p> In Kazan, capital overhaul of the housing stock is underway at 63 residential buildings out of 163 planned for this year, while works have already been completed at 13 buildings. The Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin inspected the progress of work on 8 Marta Street, 11 in the Sovetsky city district. The building was built in 1962. Currently the facade, roof and utilities are being replaced here. After the completion of the capital overhaul, the property management company will repair the entrances. </p> <p> «The renovation of the housing stock is one of our priorities. I want to thank the Rais (Head) of our republic for his support: despite the difficult time, none of the renovation programs has been paused, – said Ilsur Metshin. – This house on 8 Marta Street was built 64 years ago, and the residents have been waiting for a renovation for a long time. The roof, facade and utilities are being replaced here. The work is on schedule. This year, the renovation program will take place at 163 apartment buildings, 13 of which have already been renovated. We started the season early enough, and I want to thank the residents for their active participation in the discussion of the projects. All types of work have been previously agreed with the owners, so we look forward to their constructive cooperation during the renovation». </p> <p> The five-storey brick house was built in 1962 and has never been repaired. The building has 3 entrances and 60 apartments. The total cost of capital repairs is 45.25 million rubles, of which 42.9 million rubles will be allocated for construction and installation work. </p> <p> The work started in February and now completed by 30%. The frame of roof has been installed, waterproofing has been laid, and insulation for metal finishing is expected to be supplied. The façade repair is underway: windows have already been replaced, and new entrance doors will be installed soon. The replacement of utilities (power, cold water supply, sewerage) has been completed by 50%. </p> <p> It is important that the renovation is complex: last year, the surrounding area was landscaped under the Our Yard republican program. In addition, after the completion of the capital overhaul, the property management company will start repairing the entrances. </p> <p> The housing overhaul program this year covers 163 apartment buildings. Works have been started at 63 sites. The work has been fully completed at 13 buildings, where chimneys were replaced. </p>
