The number of citizens employed in small business enterprises exceeded 350 thousand people.
During the year in Kazan, the number of small and medium-sized businesses increased by almost 2 thousand, and the number of self-employed increased by 23 thousand people. In 2022, almost 1 billion rubles more taxes were received from representatives of SMEs to the city budget than a year earlier. Ildar Shakirov, Deputy head of the Executive Committee of the city, reported this to the Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin.
By the end of 2022, the number of small and medium-sized businesses in the capital of Tatarstan increased from 78,500 to 80,400. The number of residents working in the SME sector increased by almost 25 thousand – up to 350,300 people.
For 9 months of 2022, the turnover of small enterprises amounted to 701.1 billion rubles. Tax revenues from SME representatives also increased by 13.5% – entrepreneurs paid over 7.6 billion rubles to the city budget, which is almost 1 billion rubles more than in 2021.
The number of self–employed also increased by 40% over the year - from 58 thousand to 81 thousand. By the beginning of 2022, the share of SME representatives on marketplaces increased by 70% to 16,300 sellers.
For reference, last year a package of anti-crisis measures continued to work at the municipal level in Kazan. In particular, a suspension of fines for violations of the rules of landscaping that do not pose risks to the life and health of citizens was extended. The possible fine imposed for these violations would amount to 94.9 million rubles.
The owners of restaurants were allowed to place summer verandas for free – 109 verandas were opened. This measure allowed entrepreneurs to save 8 million rubles.
In 2022, the Executive Committee again granted representatives of advertising companies a deferral of lease payments in the amount of 90.91 million rubles. Payments that were postponed earlier due to the coronavirus pandemic have been fully paid.
In addition, the city has introduced a preferential mode of operation of municipal parking lots on weekends, holidays and weekdays after 19:00.
I. Shakirov also reminded that the city continues to operate a program of preferential rental of premises for small businesses. As of today, 46 contracts have been concluded. The participants of the program have a preferential right to purchase rented premises, and 17 entrepreneurs have already used this opportunity. The list of premises can be found at the link.
The self-employed can sell their goods at the fairs, which are regularly held in the city. For reference, on the Day of the Republic of Tatarstan and the City of Kazan, the longest self-employed retail site in Russia with a length of 245.5 meters was opened at the Kremlin, and a forum for the self-employed Kazan Bazar also took place. During the New Year holidays, the city hosted the KyshDaKar-fest winter festival, where self-employed and farmers from Tatarstan sold goods for almost 6 million rubles.
