The number of small and medium-sized businesses increased to 84,700
The Committee for Economic Development reported that the number of self-employed has increased by 11,300 to 92,200 people since the beginning of the year in Kazan.
There are also 84,700 people engaged in small and medium-sized businesses in the city. In six months, their number has increased by 4,300 people.
For reference, the share of small businesses in the gross territorial product last year was 42.2%. Kazan entrepreneurs have transferred more than 7.6 billion rubles to the municipal budget, which is 13.5% more than in 2022.
On January 1, 2019, a tax on professional income was introduced in Russia. Its monthly rate is 4% for individuals and 6% for self-employed and legal entities. Financial and educational support measures are available to the self-employed. Full details are available at the link.
